AHLEN, Germany, May 5, 2025 (FASHION BEAUTY SCENE) — Nutritional Supplements and Cosmetics company LR Health & Beauty has introduced a new skincare line combining pure Aloe Vera gel with fermented Aloe Vera.
According to the company, the product aims to enhance the bioavailability and effectiveness of Aloe Vera through a two-stage hyperfermentation process. This development builds on LR Health & Beauty's existing portfolio of over 60 Aloe Vera-based products, most of which are developed and manufactured at its headquarters in Ahlen, Germany.
"Fermentation is a refinement process that has been used in the food industry for thousands of years. LR uses hyperfermentation in the fermentation of Aloe Vera”, said Dr. Christian Rößle, Vice President Research, Development & Quality at LR.
The two-stage process begins with enzymes breaking down aloverose, long-chain sugar molecules in the plant. Yeast is then added in the second stage to produce smaller molecules that form a new phytocomplex, which, according to the L&R, can penetrate deeper skin layers and improve moisture retention and skin regeneration.
The new formulation has been dermatologically tested by Dermatest and received a five-star "very good" seal. Results reportedly include up to 176% increased moisture retention, improved healing of skin injuries, and a reduction in stretch mark volume.
"I am delighted that we can now offer our partners even more effective products with the unique combination of Aloe Vera Gel and fermented Aloe. We can therefore also promote the success of our independent LR sales partners, for whom the Aloe Vera business is an important part of their daily work," said Dr. Andreas Laabs, Chief Executive Officer of LR Health & Beauty SE.
