The collection draws inspiration from the 1930s secret society known as the Night Climbers of Cambridge and from Whipplesnaith, the pen name of Noel H. Symington, who chronicled the group’s activities. The company stated that the concept reflects the idea of seeing the world from an alternative perspective.

The collection coincides with KENT&CURWEN’s centenary year, marking 100 years since its founding in 1926. According to the company, the Night Climbers’ spirit of defiance and reinterpretation of established institutions aligns with the brand’s longstanding approach to British style.
For Autumn/Winter 2026, the collection features a color palette ranging from midnight blue and black to muted taupe, autumnal brown, grey, and soft pastels, accented by collegiate reds, lilacs, and burnt orange tones.
The designs include reinterpretations of traditional British outerwear and slim suiting, alongside deconstructed knits and varied silhouettes. The classic trench coat is presented in patent finishes, softened shaping, and high-collared cape forms. Accessories and corsage detailing appear alongside house embroidered insignias.
“We think of those nights spent with one or more friends, nights when we merged with the shadows and could see the world with eyes that were not our own,” said Whipplesnaith.
The phrase “Multum in parvo,” translated as “Much in little,” is also referenced in connection with the Night Climbers of Cambridge.
